Nemiades: TheAvalanche yeah the bugginess of the game was indeed unbearable, unfortunately. The consept for the game is still unique and incredible, too bad it's wasted in Softnyx' hands.

Xiaoyu: No one plays RIS anymore because it’s unplayable. We are testing an interesting private server just to play sometimes. The gameplay looks like the 2009/2010 Rakion. GM’s are going to put the Supermode there..

Dear RakionHeadquarters community,
As you all know, we have started a Tournament amongst our members, for which a lot of people signed up. Before the start of the Tournament, a lot of our members seemed to be interested and enthousiastic about playing in this Tournament.
Today, a few weeks after the opening of the Tournament there has not been any battle between Tournament teams. There have been some discussions in the chatbox about possible solutions by some members, and we appreciate everyone who helps to find a solution.
The reason for this thread: Discussing the problems you encounter in the Tournament. Because a lot of our members were so excited for this Tournament, we find it odd that there have not yet been any battles. This thread is for pouring your heart out about the Tournament, and hopefully improving and getting more battles played.
Thank you in advance for thinking with us,
Jelte & Dany Administrators
Have fun!

good u made this thread coz it's usefull now many peeps i asked bout issues and tournament status said that they have problem to gather whole team in the same time and if they finally do the other team is not ready at that time mandatory schedule would be great idea also i thought bout other issue like for example: there's finally match and one team is loosing and from that team in last round one player DC (or seems like it) - whole match is fked.. no screenshot, no end of match what bout then? u have any solution to that? it's hard to rely on honesty of all and DC is very possible coz our game as we all know is very buggy and dc'full hmm i hope ull manage those issues somehow ;) take care and cheers :)
A mandatory schedule is a forced way to do this but how do you plan on setting the dates and times? If you take into account these factors, an open timeschedule might be a better idea. A thread where one of the admins updates the timeschedule with every post that is made. That way everyone can see the time and dates when fellow teammembers and opponents are available to play, it is much easier to adjust to specific dates beforehand and play the matches. Those that do not update their available time schedules and/or are not willing to put in their time to make a match happen can also easily be seen in this specific format. Aside from that, people are more likely to keep their word once they themselves have posted the time and dates that they are available. This also increases the probabilities to get the players together and play a match without having to contact each other separately.
You can also, add scores to the matches that have been played and add the scoreboard for the players there. That way you can have all the schedules, played matches and scores on a single page.
In your specific case with DC, you can simply all go to the waiting room and just play the last round again. Make a screenshot of that and there are no problems.
I don't know what is the solution but i think the problem is not only the dc's that ruins the fun but also the the people that don't feel ready yet to start a battle and want to train more

That´s an important point I think. Every team wants to be prepared as well as possible for the tournament, so I guess many are just training untill they somehow "get forced" to play some matches.
This definitly is a problem but also a direct game right after team compilation would be almost completely about luck. There are teams with top league players, who just never played together before and don´t know the style of each other which leads to an unexpected loss. Some might say it makes it more balanced, but those player who are good and have the potential, should get rewarded I think.

I will try to answer as short as possible, because I am very busy with homework and the long answer with quotes got lost 2 times because of disconnections....

A forced schedule was considered, but we decided to disregard it because of the possiblity of making the tournament less fun. It should not be neccessary to force people to play, especially considering the enthousiasm from everyone before the tournament started. If we want to make a tournament schedule, we want to make it as user-friendly as possible, without taking away the fun for everyone.
It is understandable that people want to train with their team, but this is not the kind of tournament for which you train. The tournament is based on current teamplay knowledge of our members, and using it to play TvT. You can learn by playing fights against eachother. If this tournament is done, there might be other tournaments where you can sign up as a team. For such tournaments, it would be usefull to train together. When you train now, you will get dissapointed when you lose the team and get a new one in Season 2. Because of the setup, training has no benefit (or just a small benefit) for the tournament itself, it just takes (wastes) a lot of time.
About the teams. It was made very clear beforehand that the teams were made random. You could (should) have anticipated that sometimes, you might not get the team you desire. Apart from being very rude, leaving the tournament shows weakness and fear. There are 4 seaons with 4 different team setups, you might get an awsome team in the next season. Also, your team might surprise you by winning every match!
In short: We did not think it was neccessary or fun to make a schedule, but we might have to. We made the tournament in a way, that fights could be played on the spot, without training. If we wanted to make a tournament with training, we would not make 4 different teams throughout the tournament. If you didn't play any fights because you think you're going to lose, when will you ever fight? After training 3 months? Then getting a new team and train again? Losing is part of tournament, and you can learn a lot from it! If you refuse to fight with your own team because of the individual team members, you should be ashamed. Even the new players who are not as experienced or good as others can surprise you.
