Dear Rakion Headquarters community,
The Tournament has finally arrived!
As you all know, Softnyx has been failing to maintain a good and steady server, and unfortunately we are the one's who 'enjoy' the aftermath. Nevertheless, we are optimistic and hope that the disconnections will be fixed by the time the Tournament starts. If Softnyx still decides to fail on us, we will keep this in consideration while the Tournament is playing.
Please read the information about the tournament carefully. Once you have done that, you can sign-up for the Tournament now if you click HERE.
We hope you will have a lot of fun playing in this Tournament and may the best player win! Except from the awsome money prizes, you will also get a lot of fame!
Good luck and have fun!
Kind regards,
Jelte & Dany

Tournament Requirements
- You need a Rakion account. Sharing accounts in the Tournament is prohibited and will get you expelled from the tournament.
- You need to be able to play the Europe 1 server without lag. If we get a lot of complaints about lag relating to a certain participant, this participant can get expelled from this Tournament.
*EDIT* - Required Stats:
You can find the minimal required stats HERE.
Recommended:
- A set with elemental helmet/gauntlets/shoulders. If there is a match where everybody has a NSE (no special effect) set, the no special effect option can be unticked. This way, elemental helmet/gauntlets/shoulders make you stronger!
Sign up information
You can sign up in the appropriate section named 'Tournament Signups'. You need to make a new thread with the title: 'Signup' followed by your IGN (in game name). Your IGN needs to be the character with which you will participate in the tournament. In this thread you need to provide the following:
- Your IGN
- Your nationality
- Your stats
- The class you will be playing
You can provide your stats by taking a screenshot of your inventory.
There is an example in the 'Tournament Signups' section where the TheAvaIanche is signing up for the tournament.
Tournament Rules
Of course there are some rules bound to the Tournament, and breaking them can result in getting expelled from the tournament or a temporarily/permanent ban from Rakion Headquarters.
- All forum rules from the Rakion Headquarters which can be applied in the game, apply for the Tournament aswell.
- Before and after every match, a screenshot is to be made in the game. This means: every battle has at least 2 screenshots. One screenshot in round 1, and one screenshot after the last round. Screenshots can not be edited! The full Rakion screen has to be visible. If you don't play in full screen mode, you can edit out the remainder of your desktop if you want.
- Every fight has to be reported in the appropriate section named: 'Tournament Battles'. In this section you can make a new thread named: 'Team x vs Team y', where x and y are the team numbers of the participants, followed by the date of the match. In this battle report you need at least a screenshot of the start and end of the game. This can only get more because of disconnections. If two different people make the screenshots, you can post the screenshot you have and the other person can post the other screenshot in your thread.
- When you are suddenly disconnected, one of the remaining players take a screenshot when everybody is still in the room. When the screenshot is taken, everybody will go back to the waiting room and wait for the disconnected player to return. When the disconnected player is back, the remaining rounds are to be played out.
- You can report about the match in the battle report thread. Any suspicious or foul behaviour can be reported via personal messages to one of the administrators.
- You can only participate with ONE account.
Game Rules
The game rules apply to every game in the Tournament.
- The game setup is:
Golem war
No potions
No cells
No special effects If everybody in the room has a NSE set (exceptions: elemental helmets/gauntlets/shoulders/weaponry), the no special effect option can be disregarded. Sockets are also prohibited. The use of sockets can result in expulsion from the Tournament. You know your own armour!
- The room title is: 'RakionHQ Tournament'
- Golem attacking is prohibited unless otherwise specified
- The matches are 3v3 (if your team has 4 players, you can choose the 3 players who play)
- The map is set by us in the tournament setup. Watch out because map areas can also be specified (e.g.: draco valley stay up)
- 'Laming' is prohibited. The term laming is a bit vague, but good examples would be: consecutive rounds permanent winding on Mage, permanent spinning on Swordsman or bead effect abuse. There are some others but we can't possibly point out every lame thing.
If we get many complaints about a participant undertaking such lame actions, we will discuss it internally and expulsion may follow.
Tournament Setup
This depends a little bit on the amount of participants but for now this is the setup:
1. We start making teams randomly (a computer program does this). Every team has 3 players (depending on the number of participants, 1 or 2 teams might get 4 players).
2. When the teams are made. The teams will be matched up with other teams. Every team will fight the same amount of fights. Depending on the amount of participants (and thus teams) we will figure out the best way to organise and set up the matches.
3. After all the matches are played, the teams will be mixed (again, randomly by a computer) and matched up like at point 2.
4. The teams will be mixed and matched repeatedly. After each team mix, a new 'Season' starts. Every Season has it's own map rules.
5. After every game, points will be given to each player.
6. At the end, points are cumulated and the winners are announced.
Point system:
Player kills will earn you: 1 point
Round wins will earn you: 3 points
Game wins will earn you: 10 points
Maps:
There are different seasons and for every season there is a map setup. There is an optional season based on how fast the seasons go and the number of participants.
Season 1 Draco valley stay up
Season 2 Gravity all map
Season 3 Underground Altar all map
(optional) Season 4 Icefield all map
Prizes:
1st prize: € 40,-
2nd prize: € 20,-
3rd prize: € 10,-
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd player will also get trophy badges added to their avatars:
DISCLAIMER: Prizes come from our own pockets. You do not pay any admission fee for this tournament. If we feel like you are cheating us or that deals are made, we can withdraw the prizes. You lose nothing.
Prizes will be distributed via Paypal. If you want a different payment method we can negotiate.
EXCEPTIONS: When you have a team with 4 players. You always have 1 player which will not participate. Of course, this changes between matches. The Game wins and Round wins of the playing team are autmatically given to the player which was left out of the match. The killcount will be the average kills of the other 3 players which participated in the match.
You can not leave out the same player in 3 consecutive matches. This means that once a player is left out, this player has to participate in the next two fights.
